John in Hong Kong

Recently John spent 2 weeks in Hong Kong volunteering for Crossroads, a Hong Kong based, non-profit aid organisation serving global need. The Crossroads team believe that, in a broken world that sees too much suffering, we should do all we can to link those who are in need with those who can provide help.
This is the 3rd year John has gone and volunteered along with a team of friends from St Christopher’s Avonhead, though it’s earlier in the year and the heat and humidity made the outside work a bit tough! A couple of significant projects were completed – installation of a recycling compactor and the associated retaining wall (see pic below), along with fencing (and child-proofing) a pre-school play area.
