In 2020 we started a collaborative privacy manifestation project with Christchurch Boys High School (CBHS) for their new buildings Caddick and Caldwell. Fast forward to 2024 and we once again worked with CBHS to extend the design through into the historic main building.
After meeting and briefing with the leadership team of CBHS, Beck & Caul were engaged to create window privacy designs that wove together the rich visual history of the school with the meaningful cultural tapestry that flows through the grounds, architecture, and culture of the school.
From the brand new blocks from 2020/21 through to the historic and heritage-listed main block restoration of 2024/25, our design has captured moments across decades of schooling. To make the design even more tailored to the classrooms they were installed on, we featured subject-related imagery such as Geography field trips across the years, book covers read in English as well as original Art featured from current and past students.
We thoroughly enjoyed working with teams from CBHS, Athfield Architects, Action Signs, and Southbase Construction to achieve this much-loved result.
